FAITHFUL SEEKERS OF THE KING


BIBLE BASIS: Matthew 2:1-12

BIBLE TRUTH: The Magi traveled a great distance to pay homage and give gifts to Jesus, the child born the king of the Jews.

MEMORY VERSE: “And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh” (Matthew 2:11).

LESSON AIM: By the end of the lesson, we will: CONTRAST the role and motives of the Magi with the role and motives of King Herod; APPRECIATE the Magi’s deep commitment to honor Jesus; and COMMIT to honor God on a daily basis by spending time in His presence.
